Communications- Interpersonal Communication Skills

Designed to help participants improve their interactions with other people in their workplace or at home. This two-day workshop gives participants the opportunity to improve the critical communication skills of listening, asking questions and being aware of nonverbal messages. This workshop can also help participants who are struggling to find that middle ground between being too aggressive and too passive, and how to counter the manipulative tactics of difficult people. Participants also learn more about the elements of our communication with others that help us reveal appropriate information about ourselves, and how to better manage ourselves for a professional image.

  • Workshop Description

    This workshop deals with the essentials of the art of communicating. This workshop allows attendees to analyse their own preferred communication styles and learn how to adapt their style, to enhance personal interaction. It will explore many key communication areas including body language, transactional analysis, communication under pressure and how to recognise and deal with workplace conflict. By the end of this workshop, attendees will develop the confidence to handle a wide range of difficult and demanding situations more effectively. This is an interactive experiential workshop that allows participants to take time to analyse their interpersonal communication in depth. Workshop motto; " Communication leads to community, that is, to understanding, intimacy and mutual valuing."
